Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hope you're having a great Christmas! We sure did! We played last weekend at the Dakota Sioux Casino in Watertown, South Dakota. It was great to be back, and to check out the new place! It was our first time playing in their new lounge area. It is so nice! Our soundman and Friend, Matt Reese did a great job for us once again, He has a lot of new "toys" to play with!

This weekend is New Years! Come to Fargo to see us if you can, you'll have to get tickets first though, Click here for details.

Thanks for a fabulous year! I hope to see ya soon!

Hi, everyone!  I hope you are doing well and gearing up for the holiday season. We just finished a fun weekend at the Mystic Lake Casino. Thanks for coming out to listen to us and as always it is such a pleasure to meet new friends!

I want to send out a special hello and happy holidays to my new friends in Norway!  Thanks for the CD purchases and all your support.  You are too kind!

Thanks again, and I hope to see you at the Fargo Holiday Inn on New Year's Eve. I can't think of a better way to start 2007!

Happy Holidays!

It was fun to perform at the Git-R-Dun once again. Last time we were there it was for only one night, but this time we played Friday and Saturday. I enjoy the large stage of the Saloon because I can have separate keyboard and bass guitar stations, which is a nice luxury (rather than have the keyboards in front of me when I play bass).

We also had a great sound this time. I'm not sure what Al did different or if the room acoustics changed somehow, but the band had a really nice mix. At least to my ears anyway! That always makes a gig more fun.

Thanks go out to the Git-R-Dun staff for being friendly and courteous and thanks also to the people that came to watch us and dance to our music. We appreciate you all. Our next gig is at Mystic Lake near Minneapolis. I'm hoping the weather will cooperate so driving conditions will be okay (always a concern during these winter months). If you're in the area, we'll see you there!

Howdy Gang!

Whew! Looks like Tami and The Lights have been neglecting the old journal again!!! Let me apologize for that, and I will be sure to get after the others to try to contribute!    bah-ha-ha-ha-

Seriously though, We've been really busy, and that's why no-one has written. Once again, I can honestly say we've been having a lot of fun!

We ended up playing this past Saturday Night in Goodridge, Mn. We had planned on taking the weekend off, but ended up taking a last minute booking. Petie couldn't make it, so we had Jim Beiswenger Jr. fill-in on drums. He did a fabulous job! (Great job Beizy!!!) The week before that, we did two nights at Jon's Bar in Halma. That is a fun place, and Jon is a great guy!

This weekend we'll be back at The Git-R-Dun Saloon, try to stop by and see us!

Thanks for checking out our website and I hope to see ya soon!

Greetings!

We got some snow last week, and I guess that made me realize that the summer is over! It made me "reflect" and look back on what could be, the best summer I've ever had! We met so many great people out there! We got to hang out with some big stars! Like JoDee Messina, LeAnn Womack, Phil Vassar and more! I got to meet a "hero" of mine who played steel guitar with Buck Owens some years back, and most recently I met Wendell Cox, who plays guitar for Travis Tritt. Wendell is great!!! I have seen him play live several times. It was a real pleasure to meet him finally. He seemed to enjoy our show, and had so many nice things to say about us! (Thanks Man!) Check out Wendell's website here!

So, as I turn the calendar pages into fall and winter, I realize that we're in for a lot more fun! Please keep watching for us, and come and see us play live.  Tami Lee and the rest of us, are very excited to be returning to Fargo, on New Years Eve! This was a big show last year, and we can't wait to do it again. The event sells out fast, so if you wanna go, you'll need to get tickets early. (I wanted to mention this now, because a few friends of ours couldn't attend last year) We also have some fun casino dates coming up, please watch for those...

Don't forget about Tami's Myspace page! (sign up to be a member and add Tami as a FRIEND!)

Thanks again for the wonderful summer, and I'll see you at the big show!!!!

PS... Also, I gotta say a GIANT THANK-YOU to Jeff Peterson (Jim's Son)for all of his professionalism this past weekend! I first met Jeff when he was a little kid! Today, he is one of the best musicians I've heard! Jeff did a great job of helping us out last weekend in Hankinson. Thanks Jeff-best of luck to ya! Click here for Jeff's website.

Hi everyone,

Well, we had another successful week at the Shooting Star.  I even had about 10 friends show up one night.  I guess we must have impressed Julie and Dan.  They're my new neighbors and they haven't stopped talking about us.  I'm pretty popular around town now.

Our next stop is the Dakota Magic Casino, near where I grew up, so that will be fun.

Don't forget to get your tickets to the big New Year's Eve show at the

Holiday Inn in Fargo.  You'll love it!

Take care,

Jim     jim@tamilee.net

October 8, 2006

I hope everyone is enjoying the brisk weather. We spent this past week at the Shooting Star Casino. As always, it was five nights of fun and it always goes by way too fast. I guess that's a good thing, right? I met some new, interesting people, saw some old friends and even met someone from my old hometown on Saturday night.

For our North Dakota fans who haven't seen the band yet or wanted to see us again in NoDak, we are performing at the Dakota Magic Casino next weekend. Hope to see you there!

Tim       tim@tamilee.net

September 29, 2006

Well, we had another gig at the Dakota Sioux Casino that went pretty well. Actually, it went very well. The band had a great time onstage both nights and the time seemed to just fly on by. From what I am told, the casino is planning on having the bands perform in their new Event Center starting in November, so this past gig will be the last time we'll be on that particular stage. In a way, it's kind of sad not to play on it anymore and in another way, it's kind of exciting. I am looking forward to seeing the new place when we go back in December.

On Saturday, we must have brought luck to some of the people there, because one lady won nearly a million dollars ($982,620.84!!) and someone else won $36,000! Unfortunately, that luck did not transfer to the band. Oh, well, at least we still got paid, haha!

We're playing next at the Shooting Star Casino next week starting on Tuesday.

See you there!

Howdy Gang!

We just finished a 2 nighter at Mystic Lake Casino. It sure is a nice place, probably the nicest casino we've been to yet! It was great to be back. Thanks to everyone for making us feel welcome, also thanks to Sound Tech Nathan for "pushing the buttons!" I especially had a great time, I ran into some friends, and met a "cousin" of mine from Chicago! (nice to meet ya Cuz!) We all hope to go back again soon, we'll keep ya posted here at tamilee.net! This weekend will also be fun, We are returning to Dakota Souix Casino at Watertown, South Dakota. I've said it before, but it's become one of my favorite places. Plus, I'll be able to get my haircut! Like always say, "You can't go wrong with a South Dakota haircut!" bah-ha-ha-ha-ha! We will also be returning to the Shooting Star Casino in a couple weeks, We always have a great time there! Please check out the calendar, and try to come and see us!

As many of you noticed, We try to post pictures after each show. However, casinos usually won't let us take pictures, so I guess you'll have to wait for an update on the on-stage gallery!

As always, thanks for visiting our site, and keep the emails coming! Also, check out Tami's myspace page here.

Hi Everyone...

We had a great time on Friday night at the Thief River Falls VFW. It was our first time there, and we had a very good crowd! That was great, since it was a "last minute" booking. It was fun for all of us! (thanks to each of you for coming, and calling your friends!) Saturday night was fun too, we were back at The Git-R-Dun Saloon in Bemidji. It's a very nice place, The stage is nice too! That really helps. (We took lots of pictures, but they didn't turn out the best! You can see them in our gallery) We really had a busy schedule this past summer. It has been great! But, It'll be nice to "slow down" a bit too. Please keep watching our schedule, and come and see us soon! Next stop, Mystic Lake Casino!

I know Al has mentioned this before. But we started pages on Myspace.com. ( Tami      Al      Tim)Please check those out too. You can listen to some of my songs, and learn a little more about us! Thanks for everything!

Howdy Gang!

Well, I am sad to say, it looks like we are finished with our "outdoor" shows for the year! We just played a Street Dance at Alvarado, Minnesota (see the pictures in our Gallery). It was great! Even though the outdoor shows get to be a lot more work, I love doing them! It's probably my favorite type of performance. Once again, the weather was PERFECT! That makes it even more fun! (It did get a little cool towards the end, but it sure helps to have over 7,000 watts of stage lighting! --ahhhh-warm and cozyll!)

We have a week off, then we'll be back at The Git-r-dun Saloon near Bemidji. We are looking forward to it. We haven't been there in a while. After that, we have some casino shows coming up, please take a look at our Calendar, and try to come see us live!

Also, Tami, Tim, and Myself all have pages up on MYSPACE.COM. Please check those out too, here are the links.   Tami      Al      Tim

Hi, everyone!  The Northern Lights and I had a great time at the Diamond Lounge in Grand Forks.  I want to thank everyone who came out to hear us. I would also like to say a special thank you to the management and staff who made us feel so welcome!  You guys are great!  Well, it's time for a little break and a chance to rest my voice.  Hope to see you in Alvarado!

August 8, 2006

Hi everyone,

Well, Tami Lee hit the Diamond Lounge for the first time!  It can be a very fun place and I'd say we had a good week.  I play there every Tuesday night with The Whackers, so I'm pretty used to the place.  We had lots of old friends stop by to give the band a listen, and they liked what they heard. This weekend we have off because of me.  I needed to head down to The Iowa State Fair to see my Son play with some rock legends of the past. Check out his site at Jeffpete.com.

We'll be back in action the next weekend for a fun street dance in Alvarado, Minnesota.  Please look at our schedule and come visit us on the road.  We'd love to hear from you!

Have a good week,

Hi again everyone!

We have sure been having a lot of fun this summer! Thanks to each of You for coming out to see us! We just had a wonderful weekend! We played at Jon's Bar in Halma on Friday Night, and we did a Street Dance in Goodridge on Saturday Night! There was so many nice people there, I didn't wanna leave! Saturday was the perfect night for an outdoor show, the weather was great!

This week we are making our first appearance in Grand Forks, North Dakota. We'll be at The Diamond Lounge on Wednesday through Saturday. I am sure it'll be fun, and will be especially nice for Jim and Tim, since they both live in Grand Forks.

We are taking the week of August 7-12 off for vaction, then we'll be at another Street Dance in Alvarado, Minnesota. Please come and see us!

As always, thanks for all your kind words and sending the emails, We all love it!

Howdy Gang!

We just played a couple of shows in Middle River, Minnesota. It was an all day event with several bands performing. I especially enjoyed seeing some of the other musicians. It was great to see The 4-wheel Drive Band, and The Niteriders again! Frank and Rick worked extra hard doing the sound and lights for the show. Believe me, it's hard work! So thanks a lot guys! Frank made it very easy for me. He even let me use his guitars! (His telecaster is the same year as Old Red, I loved it!)

This Friday night we'll be performing at Jon's Bar and Grill in Halma, Minnesota. I've wanted to play there for some time. Jon, the owner, is a very nice guy, and is doing a great job running the place. Try to come and see us, and try some of the food-it's awesome!

Saturday Night will be kinda special for me! We'll be playing a street dance in my hometown of Goodridge, Minnesota. It's the only gig I can play, and still keep an eye on things at home!!! Please come and see us if you can.

We recently purchased a new lighting system! So, I am gonna spend some time learning to use it this week! It's complicated! But I figure I'll have it down by next spring!

Thanks for visiting tamilee.net, come and see us soon! Also, if you have a chance, send some email to Tami Lee, She's been complaining that She doesn't get enough email! Now, where I come from, that's just plain wrong! Here's her address  tami@tamilee.net

Howdy Gang!

Once again thanks for checking out our website! Last weekend was a hot one! We played a two night Street Dance in Larimore, North Dakota. Even though it was hot outside, it was a great time! (thank goodness it didn't rain!). I posted a few pictures of Larimore Days on our gallery, they're under the onstage page. We'll be out doors again this weekend too! We are performing at The 5th Annual Parking Lot Bash (sounds like fun!) at The American Legion in Middle River, Minnesota. We start at about 8pm. I am looking forward to it, because several of my musician buddies will be playing there too! We also have another Street Dance coming up in my hometown of Goodridge, Minnesota, that's on Saturday, July 29. I know that'll be a great time. Please come if you can!

I also wanted to let you know that Tami Lee now has a page on MySpace.com. We haven't got everything up yet. But we did get a good start on it! (Tim Belgarde, Our bassist/keyboardist has been a big help on this one! Thanks Tim!). We hope to get some songs on there soon. Check it out here

I had a fantastic time at the Shooting Star Casino this past week. I always enjoy performing there because the staff are friendly and helpful and the crowds are always very appreciative and we have a fun time with them.

The fireworks display on Tuesday night was out of this world! It's been a long time since I've seen anything like that. It reminded me of the ones I used to see in Milwaukee, WI when I lived there many, many years ago. If anyone is reading this that saw us perform at the Shooting Star this past week, send us some e-mail (all the band members)! We would love to hear from you. It was great to talk with our fans and I wouldn't mind doing it some more.

We are going to perform at a street dance in Larimore, ND this coming weekend (Friday and Saturday). As always, if you're in the area, come on up and see us. Should be a fun time!

Tim       tim@tamilee.net

July 3,2006

The Dakota Sioux was another interesting gig for us. We met some cool people and had fun hanging out on our breaks and after the show. The restaurant now has pizza available into the wee hours, so that was really handy, since we finish playing at 1:30 a.m. and finish tearing down our equipment on Saturday around 3:00 a.m.

We have kind of made it a tradition to jam with their soundman Matt Reese on a couple of our songs. That's always fun to do. He's a great lead guitarist and a real nice guy.

We'll be playing a five-night stint at the Shooting Star Casino tomorrow night. As always, if you're in the area, come check us out and say hi to us on our breaks.

Howdy Folks!

We had a great time this past weekend at Country Fest Minnesota! It was a blast! Click here to see the pictures! Tami and The Lights performed a 2 hour show on Friday Afternoon, and we kinda lucked out! Just as we were finishing up our show, it started to rain, and it kinda made things a bit messy for some of the other acts! Speaking of other acts, I was totally blown away by a new group called Telluride! They STOMP! They are from Nashville, and just signed a record deal, so be looking for them in the future-They kick butt! Another highlight for me was Jo Dee Messina's performance, She also had to deal with some rain, but did a great show anyway. She even came back to the Turtle Creek Saloon afterwards and put on a show there too! It was a great "moment!" Tami and Tim both hung out backstage and got to visit with Jo Dee, Lee Ann Womack, Phil Vassar, and a few others. I mostly tried to find the cute girls from Little Big Town! (Wow!) OK, enough of that! Thanks to Frank and everyone from Turtle River for having us!

This week we travel back to Watertown. It has become one of my favorite places! Come and see us if you can!

Our weekend at The Sportsman's Lodge was fun. The crowd was a bit thin on both nights, but those folks that were there certainly appreciated us! The weather was a bit chilly, so that could be part of the reason. In any event, it was a good time. I even met some friendly people from Grand Forks! Small world, huh?

Next up is the Mystic Lake Casino on May 26th. We're all looking forward to performing there. We always enjoy performing at new places. Come see us if you're in the area!

Greetings everyone,

We had a fantastic time at The Northern Lights Casino in Walker, Mn! Receptive crowds.  Great rooms.  An all around fun weekend.  Tami sold a number of CD's and people were going nuts over her new promo pictures. Now I'm just going through the everyday life of a substitute teacher, waiting for the next Tamilee gig.....this weekend at The Sportsman's Lodge near Baudette, Mn.  It's always fun up there.  Come on up if you can; listen to us and do some fishing. Hi gang,

Frank treated us pretty well up at Turtle Creek Saloon last weekend.  The bar staff was also very nice, indeed. Don't forget to check into Countryfest 2006 at Turtle River.  It will be held on Frank's land right by the Turtle Creek Saloon and will have numerous country acts......famous and regional bands, like ours.   It's June 22-24, with camping and everything.  Consider going for all 3 days. You'll have a blast!  I believe we're playing on Friday, the 23rd.  See if you can make it.

Hi everyone,

Boy, what a great week at the Shooting Star Casino!   I think we really put on a good show for the folks.  The 5 days flew by and the people there are so nice.  Met some wild Canadian ladies who know how to have a good time. Now we're on our way to Frank's place at the Turtle Creek Saloon.  A good crowd usually waits us there. If you show up, please say hi to us.  We like that!

April 30, 2006

Hey guys and gals. We just completed a five-night gig at the Shooting Star Casino  and it was a great time. There were pretty big crowds most nights and they seemed to really enjoy the songs we were playing. In some cases, they were enjoying it a little too much and had to settle down. Best of all, we played better than we usually do for some reason! That's always a great feeling onstage when the band 'clicks'. I can hardly wait to go back in early July.

We'll be performing at the Turtle Creek Saloon this coming weekend. We haven't been there in quite a while so it should be an interesting time. As always, come see us if you're in the area.

Howdy Gang! We just got back from another fun trip to South Dakota! First, I wanna say thanks to the soundman at the Dakota Sioux Casino. MATT REESE always does a great job! I've said it before, but being a soundman can be a tough job. So it sure is nice to have a guy like Matt to make the show sound good. Best of all, Matt didn't get into any trouble with the cops this time! Plus, we managed to get him up on stage for a couple of tunes! He is also a very good guitarist! Thanks Matt! We have a week off, and then it's back to The Shooting Star Casino at Mahnomen! It's one of our favorite places, so come on out to see us! I hope the Easter Bunny was good to all of you! The Lights had a fun time this weekend performing at the Git-R-Dun. A wedding reception was going on Saturday, so there were plenty of people who danced and watched the group perform. There were even several kids jumping around and breakdancing during our first set of the night, which was interesting to watch. We'll be driving down to South Dakota this weekend to perform at the Dakota Sioux Casino next. See you there!

Tim       tim@tamilee.net

Hi Everyone,

We just finished two nights at the Git-R-Dun in Wilton.  The highlight for me was our new lightlady.......Becky! She left her post a couple times, but she did a fine job when she was there! It was good to see Al's parents out for the night.  It's always a treat when your folks come out to see you play.  It's as if they're validating your chosen profession.  Thanks! We're off to Watertown, SD, to visit Matt(if he's there.)  Some trouble with the law last time, I think!  Come out to The Dakota Sioux Casino if you can.

Tami     tami@tamilee.net

Hi Everyone,

Well, we sure had a good time playing at the Brainerd Eagles Club.  The people were ready to dance from the first number through the last.  The hours were great, too.....7:30-11:30.  It gives band members a chance to get home at a decent time of night.  Everyone there was very nice and greatly appreciative of the band, so that's a plus, as well.  I'm not sure if we are going back, but if we do, we'll have fun again, I'm sure.

Hi Folks. I hope your New Year's Eve celebrations were festive and fun. Ours was certainly both! We shared the bill with a band that performed classic songs from the 50s and 60s and a comedian that often performs in Branson, MO. The evening was extra special since my parents also attended and had a good old time dancing the night away. The whole event reminded me of a prom for adults, which is a pretty cool thing. It all went very well (no mishaps!) and I had a blast.

Hope 2006 will be even more exciting. 2005 was certainly filled with good times. Take care and come check us out if we happen to play a show near your town sometime in the future. Thanks!
